I have two poodles and every time I was going to the groomer I would spend about $100, so I decided to invest my money wisely and I got a professional clipper. I paid around $130 for the clipper, almost the same thing I would pay for ONLY one visit to the groomer! Of course since I am not a groomer the only thing I know how to do is to cut the hair short, but since there are many websites and also videos in Youtube that show you how to cut their hair, I am sure nex time, I will be able to do more than just cut their hair short.

    Way to go!

  3. This clipper actually made headway through the ultra thick coat on my Persian cat. I tried the cheaper store bought clippers that sell for around 50 bucks and they did not cut her hair at all well. This clipper cut through her coat like a hot knife through butter.

The ultra quiet motor resulted in a much calmer experience for my cat. The ability to step up the speed seemed to make this less startling for her as well.

You can feel the quality in the heft of this clipper. Be prepared to feel it in your wrist if you cut for long periods of time.

The ability to quickly remove the bottom plate without having to remove screws is a huge plus in cleaning.

I have a 10 month old cocker spaniel. I used to take her to the groomers when she was younger, but then again it was about $15 just for the basic trimmings. But now that she’s over 6 months it costs about $40 per visit at the groomers. As much as I love to make sure that my cocker is well groomed, paying for the groomers every 3 weeks is not an expense I want to keep paying. I originally bought $20 clippers to start grooming her myself, but you definitely get what you pay for. The clippers i originally bought were not as good and fast as this one.

I finally got the Andis after buying the cheap ones and wow its a major difference. I had research what the pros use for cocker spaniel hair and this was one of the recommendations.

Grooming my cocker with the Andis makes it easier and takes less time to get everything done. Maintaining the clippers is not difficult either. Very easy to remove the blades and motor head area to remove small clippings. Overall, the clippers get the job done, it’s worth the money and in the long run it will save you visits to the groomers.

I bought these to groom my mini schnauzer/yorkie mix. I have no grooming experience and have never even used clippers before, but when my husband came home and saw the dog he thought I had taken her to be professionally groomed. I was absolutely amazed at how well these clippers work. They are very quiet, stayed completely cool, and gave a great even cut. I read online reviews on several different websites before deciding on these. You can not go wrong with this set!! The blade that comes with the clippers is great for getting that close to the body cut. I will be investing in a 1/2″ blade to use on my golden retriever.
