My dog has kennel cough. She finished her medication 2 days ago but she is still coughing (only when she is not laying down) and still has drainage from her nose. Is it normal for her to be sleeping all day long?

It sounds like the medicine didn’t do the trick and you need to contact the vet ASAP. If she hadn’t finished her medicine I wouldn’t be so concerned, but she should be feeling a lot better if she’d finished all the medicine.
contact vet asap, has kennel cough and symptom is lethargic. let them know.
It’s GOOD for your dog to get plenty of sleep to recover.
It’s hard to get proper rest when having kennel cough.
When I adopted my dog from the pound she had kennel cough really bad. She had it for about three months. I went to two different vets and tried 3 different medications. Finally the vet gave her this super vitamin shot in her side and it went away within a week. (I wish I knew the name of the shot sorry) The whole time she had it she was very listless and slept alot. She didn’t bark till the cough was gone. Kennel cough is just like broncitis for humans, resting is good for your pup but in a few days I would suggest taking her back to the vet for another check-up and meds. And another thing makes sure she’s eating, my dog wouldn’t touch her dry food when she had it so i’d soak her kibble in warm chicken or beef stock to soften it up and she loved it.
you need to take back to the vet it sound like the med didn’t work he shouldn’t be doing all that with the cought make sure you tell the doctor everything going on with yor pet and good luck
