What can I do to soothe my dog’s kennel cough temporarily?

Mia, my dog with undiagnosed but probably kennel cough, made a lot of noise last night because she was hacking. What can I do to soothe her for tonight so I can sleep and she can, too?

steam her. place her with you in an enclosed bathroom and run the shower on hot for several minuets

    you’ll have to steam her

Reeses mom has a great idea! Steam will help break up the stuff in the lungs so she can cough it out. It will also make it hurt less when she coughs until you can get her to a vet.
Just remember, it may not be kennel cough-it could be something else, so it is important to take her in to get a checkup.

There is really nothing you can do. You just need to let it pass on it’s own. It is a real pain though.

The only thing you can do is to take her to the vet, and the
vet will give you some medication for her. It is not expensive
at all. Just so you do know. Dogs can die from this condition.
I’m not joking. Especially pups. After the dog takes the
meds for a few days, the dog will be fine, and keep your dog
away from other dogs that cough, and even right now, cause
    it is highly contagious.
