The product has worked very well for several months in my dog’s house. It maintains a suitable warm temperature so that we can let our Pug outside when temperatures are less than 50 degrees. We have placed plastic strips in the entrance to help retain some of the heat.

Very sturdy rigid pad that gets warm in just a few seconds when you place your hand on the pad. The cord is wrapped in coil so the dog can’t chew on it. Great product as advertised.

I bought this mat for my parents’ cat as she spends most of her time alone while they winter in a warmer state. She has an enclosed porch but no heat. This pad combined with a water warmer make a comfy spot for her after the sun goes down and it gets cold. I might have gone for the “soft” bed if I were to do it again, as this is a hard plastic pad, but I believe the wattage was only half in the soft pad. So far, so good!
