To become a CKC Champion, a dog must earn a total of 15 points under at least 3 different Judges, of which 2 wins must be major (3, 4 or 5 point) wins. (i.e. Judge A -  3 points, and Judge B - 4 points and Judge(s) C through Z - 8 points in any denomination, equaling 15 points).  Dogs that are at least six months old, but under twelve months, will be awarded a Junior Championship.  To earn full Championship status, one additional major must be earned after 1 year of age.  Once a dog has earned its Junior Championship, it shall be shown in the Best of Breed class until it has reached its first birthday.  At that time, it should be moved back to the Open or Bred-By-Exhibitor class to earn one major for its Senior Championship.
